Addressing Union Lies

NYSNA’s like that one person in your nursing school group project, happy to take credit for the success without doing any of the work.

Over the last year, you received 5% raises, lower copays, more retirement plan options, and more generous retiree health benefits.

That hasn’t stopped NYSNA from taking credit for Northwell’s enhancements that apply to all non-union team members across the organization - and those things occurred long before NYSNA filed its election petition. Our track record of enhancements year-after-year shows our commitment to support you.

If you were represented by NYSNA, any changes to your wages, benefits, scheduling flexibility, and more, would have to be negotiated at the bargaining table.

Unions are legally allowed to make promises during organizing campaigns—even though they can’t and won’t guarantee to deliver. Employers are required to stick to the facts. And that’s what we do.

The National Labor Relations Board has ruled that unions can say pretty much anything they want to try and win your vote, even if it isn’t true, because “employees generally understand that a union cannot automatically obtain benefits by winning an election but must attempt to achieve them through the collective bargaining process.” ¹

Don’t be misled by empty promises or blatant misinformation like the union’s latest flyer taking credit for improvements that Northwell made without any NYSNA involvement.

NYSNA is misleading you now, so what do you think they might do if they actually represented you?
