The National Labor Relations Act REQUIRES LIJ to provide NYSNA and the NLRB with the names, home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of all nurses eligible to vote in the upcoming election.
This means NYSNA representatives may:
Send you unwanted text messages
Call you outside of work hours
Send emails to your personal email address
Visit your home unannounced
At LIJ, we respect your privacy, and we would never willingly share your personal information unless required by law. We understand that outreach from the union at your home may cause concerns about privacy and security. You always have the right to say no to NYSNA’s outreach.
NYSNA may contact you at your home, or call you at odd hours, but you always have the right to say NO to NYSNA.
Say no to unwanted home visits
Decline phone calls from NYSNA
Delete NYSNA’s emails or text messages
Ask NYSNA to remove you from their contact list
